Mornings with Mary Jane

Happy hump day!!!
Let's talk morning routine and starting your day of the right foot... setting yourself up for success from the moment you wake up in the morning.
First things first... wake and bake🌬
Judge me all you want, but it helps my chronic nausea and it settles my stomach 💚
I wash my face, brush my teeth, comb my hair, and
Meditate! I try to do at least 15 minutes, but even 3-5 minutes of stillness can transform my day!
I might even do inversions as I find it incredibly relaxing. They also help my low blood pressure and svt by increasing circulation.🙃
Then I read. Preferably something motivational or for personal development. I'm currently reading a couple things... Untamed and Moody Bitches. Loving them both so far! Next up is Come As You Are.
Afterwards, I brew my tea and journal.
About that time Chloe is up and ready to start her online classes. So I make sure she is fed and situated.
Does this happen perfectly every single day?
Maybe some days you want to sleep in
Maybe you have a crazy busy schedule and get straight to work; thats ok
Thats the beauty of being in control of your life... its your life. Make it work for you! Not the other way around.
Now that gyms are opening back up I'm definitely going to try to get back in there a couple days a week.🏋️♀️
So maybe some mornings I workout, come home, shower, eat, read, and journal... meditating before bed. That's ok too! Do what works for you, your life, your schedule.
Don't freak out because you're a mom with a million things to do and cannot wake up at 4 am to hit the gym.
Don't get down on yourself because you're homeschooling and have to skip the gym!
As long as you are happy and healthy, that's all that really matters in the end.
Handle your shit, but remember to take time for yourself. balance is everything
