My Stay in a Tiny House
To say I am obsessed with tiny houses may be an understatement.
I've watched every episode of every tiny home show out there and loved every minute of it!
So I was super stoked when my boyfriend booked up a tiny house up north for our 3 month anniversary.
It looked so tiny and cute in the pictures and just my size!!!
Upon driving up, I couldn't help but giggle at its tininess. It was absolutely adorable.
I waited in anticipation as Kevin unlocked the door and let out an actual scream after walking into the home. It was exactly how I imagined it.
I loved the craftsmanship and the design. All of the little storage places were fun to discover. They were everywhere!
The kitchen was small, but totally doable. The ceiling was a little low of Kevin up in the loft, but not too bad if you paid attention. The bathroom made even me feel like a giant, but I enjoyed that aspect of it as I never feel big. LoL
The tiny house was nestled in a cozy little RV park just outside of Cottonwood, AZ. Much to my surprise it was very well kept and very quiet. I'm not going to lie, I was a bit worried when we realized where it was after booking. Onsite there was mini golf, a club house with pool and jacuzzi, walking trails, and more. The neighbors were friendly and the gentleman at the gate were very informative.
Friday night we enjoyed a tasty dinner at The Creekside American Bistro in Sedona. The crab cake was out of this world! We'll definitely be back to enjoy the patio dinning along the creek.
Saturday we hit Boynton Canyon Trail for one of the most gorgeous hikes I have ever been on. It was relatively easy, but oh so beautiful. The change in the scenery was not expected. We started off surrounded by red rock. It was sunny and warm. The landscape was still very much desert-like. We were soon in the shade of the canyon where the trees were huge and the temperature was significantly cooler. The colors of the leaves were absolutely breathtaking. Kevin and I both really liked this trail and plan to go back.
Saturday night we made reservations at The Golden Goose Restaurant in Sedona. Wow! Service was wonderful. Drinks were tasty. Food was phenomenal. Ambiance was great. If you go, you have got to try the eclair! YUM!!!
I think its safe to say that our last minute getaway to celebrate our 3 month anniversary was an absolute success.
I'm already planning my next tiny house stay with my daughter. I think it'll be perfect for a girls night. Movies, masks, makeup, and munchies!!!
Have you ever stayed in a tiny home?
