What is detoxing?

Detoxification or detoxing is the removal of toxins.


Some people only think of detoxing the body. Whether it be with fasting or a juice cleanse, but what about the mind... What about your soul?


After my recent journey to the desert, I've realized just how important self care truly is.


We call carry so much stress on a day to day basis we forget about all the trauma we've suppressed over the years. Intentional or not, these things need to be dealt with.


There are so many benefits to detoxing, mind and spirit included!


Detoxing can...

Boost your energy

Aid with digestion and help manage weight

Clears skin and evens complexion

Strengthen your immune system

Improve your mood and bring you joy

Increase laughter

Make you smile more

Leave you with a sense of clarity

Helps you speak your truth and speak honesty

I thought so. I know I sure was in the beginning. the more I learned the more I wanted to know.


Ways to detox:

Drink a glass of water with lemon first thing in the morning

Do a juice cleanse

Try fasting

Eliminate processed foods from your diet

Drink more green and herbal teas

Eat more raw fruits and veggies

Minimize or eliminate white sugar

Minimize or eliminate white flour

Take a probiotic daily

Exercise or practice yoga

Sweat it out in a sauna

Engage in breath-work

Meditate

Intentional journaling

Remove toxic people from your life


I know I've seen huge transformation in my life since dealing with my demons and detoxing not only my body, but also letting go of past trauma detoxing my soul and letting go of shame detoxing my mind.
